Carrie Leeb loves designing and making anything and everything from fine art to furniture to interiors, and has had a series of careers based in creativity. As a graphic designer and illustrator, she worked for award winning design firms in New York and then returned to her hometown of San Francisco to start her own. After a year sabbatical in Paris where she focused on photography, she realized she wanted to become a full-time artist. As a mostly self-taught painter and sculptor, she worked primarily in San Francisco, and also spent time practicing her art (and Spanish!) in Mexico and Argentina. As a fine artist, she was represented by galleries in Los Angeles and New York, and showed internationally, as well.
Her love of the natural world led her to invent, design, and then manufacture a product, ReTree – a modern, reusable holiday tree made of wood. After 5 years of running the business, she sold the company so she could get back to her passions – making art and teaching.
Carrie’s latest venture is Spark Studio, where she teaches art and craft classes to adults, kids and corporate teams in her San Francisco studio (now on Zoom), and brings a cool and fun design sensibility to all projects. She is in the process of renovating a home in Hudson, NY and plans to split her time between the coasts, continuing to make art and teach.
