Shawn Watts
Architect


Shawn studied at the Yale School of Architecture and joined Leroy Street Studio in 1997, where he has led many award-winning residential projects. After becoming a partner in 2005, Shawn has led the firm’s public work through the Design Excellence programs of the Department of Design and Construction and the Parks Department. He is currently leading municipal projects in all five boroughs and is the partner-in-charge for the Alley Pond Environmental Center in Queens, which was awarded the Public Design Commission Award for Excellence in Design. Shawn co-founded the firm’s construction management division and served on the board of Hester Street, a not-for-profit community design organization founded by LSS, where he was Board Chair from 2012-2016.
