This beautiful two-bedroom apartment occupies a superb position at the top of this Victorian school conversion and has been completely redesigned by interior and furniture designer Cassandra Ellis.
Made up of just 35 apartments, The Village is an outstanding gated development with beautiful courtyard and gardens maintained year round by a team of caretakers.
The interior of the apartment centers around four principal materials: marble, oak, Pippy oak and handmade tiles. The walls are predominantly painted in Little Green’s ‘French Grey’, a discreet and natural palette. Solid oak floors run throughout, employing a method which uses floorboards of different widths to avoid waste – the wood from only two trees covers the entire apartment.
The bespoke kitchen has a Henry IV marble worktop and oak units. The same marble also features in the bathrooms alongside delicate handmade ceramic tiles from artisan workshops in Marlborough. A Pippy oak bench runs across the width of the kitchen, adding further seating whilst concealing the pipework.
