Kevin Beare is Managing Director of Hobbs, Incorporated’s New York City operation. Hobbs is a third-generation, family-owned custom builder founded in New Canaan in 1954. For more than seventy years the firm has built distinguished new homes, additions, and renovations for clients and their design partners across Connecticut, Westchester, New York City, the Hamptons, New Jersey, and Upstate New York.

The work is defined by close attention, technical command, and a standard that does not move with scale. Hobbs partners with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and specialty trades to resolve the drawings before the field and to deliver the project with one line of accountability.

Kevin joined Hobbs in 2007 after beginning his career as a project engineer at Gilbane Building Company. He advanced through assistant project manager, project manager, and senior project manager before taking on the New York practice. He holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and an MBA from Florida State University. His focus is growing the NYC operation, assembling the right collaborators for complex residential work, and seeing every project built to the firm’s standard.
