Lighting Designer

Christoph Gisel is a multidisciplinary design director and team leader based in Austin whose work explores how lighting shapes the way people experience buildings, landscapes, infrastructure, and public space. He combines design thinking, technical expertise, and strategic leadership to translate complex challenges into solutions that enhance experience, performance, accessibility, and a sense of belonging.

His portfolio spans museums, parks, airports, transit systems, bridges, waterfronts, public art installations, civic spaces, and district-scale master plans across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. From internationally significant cultural institutions and large-scale urban developments to artist collaborations and transportation infrastructure, he focuses on creating environments that are intuitive, memorable, and resilient.

Christoph is particularly interested in the relationship between light, people, and place.
