Led by Brendan Coburn, Kimberly Neuhaus, Jason Boutin, and Jesse Fearins, The Brooklyn Studio has stewarded New York’s historic architecture for three decades. Their portfolio spans 170+ rowhouse restorations across Brooklyn and Manhattan landmark districts—a living catalog of the city’s evolution that positions The Brooklyn Studio as New York’s experts on 19th-century masonry structures. This deep knowledge—of rowhouse styles, preservation techniques, and landmark requirements—allows them to unlock design possibilities that others might miss.
But technical mastery alone does not create exceptional spaces. The Brooklyn Studio’s work marries a respect for architectural legacy with contemporary vision, honoring a building’s past while reimagining its future. As an integrated architecture and interior design studio, they craft environments from the inside out—where restored details meet custom joinery, where historic proportions accommodate modern life, where every detail contributes to spaces that are both timeless and fresh.
Beyond the rowhouse, The Brooklyn Studio has designed country residences that complement their landscapes, transformed former churches and schools into vibrant community spaces, and created modern offices within historic structures.
