Architect

Kendall Baldwin, AIA, NCARB, is an architect and firm leader whose career has centered on advancing civic, cultural, and educational institutions through mission-driven design. She is the Managing Principal of Trahan Architects, a global practice founded on the belief that mindful design of everyday spaces can elevate the human experience. In this role, she oversees organizational operations, strategic initiatives, and client development across the firm’s New York and New Orleans studios while fostering a collaborative culture rooted in responsibility, artistry, materiality, and a deep sense of place. That approach has helped shape an award-winning portfolio that includes the transformation of the Caesars Superdome, the Coca-Cola Stage at the Alliance Theatre, and the USA Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka, contributing to Trahan Architects’ recognition by Architect Magazine as the nation’s top design firm.

Kendall’s leadership is informed by a rigorous academic foundation. She holds a Master of Architecture II from Princeton University, where she also taught within the Schools of Architecture and Engineering, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is a licensed architect in New York and Louisiana and maintains NCARB certification as well as OSHA certification.

Beyond professional practice, Kendall is active in several organizations, including the American Institute of Architects, Design for Freedom, Open House New York, and the Beverly Willis Foundation. For Kendall, architecture and advocacy have never been separate pursuits, but part of a single, ongoing commitment to creating the conditions in which institutions, culture, and communities can thrive.
