Michele focuses on the rehabilitation and repurpose of historic buildings and sites, combining a deep understanding of sensitive historic contexts with contemporary designs. His wide-ranging experience has seen him lead both early concept design and on-site project management at a variety of scales, for conservation interventions and new additions, from a family home in London to internationally significant cultural sites.
Having obtained his Master of Architecture from the University of Florence, Italy, Michele spent his early career working for Steven Holl Architects in Beijing, China. Since joining DIA in 2016, he has worked with high-profile private, commercial, and international clients, such as the World Monument Fund for the post-conflict reconstruction of the Mosul Museum in Iraq and the Jackson Library in Oxford.
In the past, Michele has delivered lectures on cultural heritage at the Bartlett School of Architecture and has been a guest tutor at the University of Manchester.
