Nicola Harding is a renowned British interior designer. Founder of the London-based, award-winning design studio Nicola Harding & Co. in 2007, her work spans restaurants, private members clubs, and hotels, as well as the homes of acclaimed figures from the film and music industries, artists, politicians, and royalty. Her NiX lifestyle brand, launched in 2023, features beautifully useful furniture, lighting, and objects born out of Harding’s understanding of how people live and what makes a home.

Having moved frequently as a child, Nicola has always been interested in creating homes that evoke a sense of belonging. After designing several homes for herself, what began as a passion grew into a thriving career. Today Nicola—who leads her London-based studio, Nicola Harding & Co., and furniture line, NiX—is known for her quintessentially British, reassuringly familiar interiors that mix traditional charm with rich atmosphere.

Nicola’s spaces are grounded in history and craft, yet never precious, and at their core they honor where we come from and how we want to live. Whether it’s a textile woven by a village maker with ties to a client’s hometown or an antique sourced from a nearby dealer, every element is chosen with meaning.

“The spaces I create are shaped as much by the materials within them as by the relationships behind them. My favourite part of the process is listening—hearing people’s stories, their memories, where they’ve come from and what they love,” says Nicola. “It’s through those conversations, and the close relationships that grow from them, that spaces take on real meaning and become personal, layered, and full of life.”
