Tom Volk

Tom Volk is a Partner at Summerhill Associates, whose mission is to harness its team’s collective experience in horticulture, project management and business operations to deliver landscapes that are constructed and maintained at the highest level. A practicing ISA Certified Arborist since 2005, his responsibilities include the oversight of all aspects of Summerhill’s operations in New York City, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut and the management of select projects across Long Island out to the Hamptons.

Inspired by the great landscape tradition of his native Ireland, Summerhill was founded in 1993 by Declan Blackmore with the goal of building and maintaining extraordinary gardens. The foundation of the firm is one of horticultural excellence, backed by over 350 years of field experience and 100 years of higher level education directly related to horticulture amongst the management team. In 2021, the firm formally expanded operations into New York City and the Hudson Valley, establishing offices in both markets to service the clientele of Landscape Architects, Architects, Contractors and homeowners that rely on Summerhill for the high level execution of landscape projects.
