The built industry runs on collaboration — but what separates good working relationships from great ones? The Winter 2026 Brick & Wonder bulletin explores that question through the stories of members who’ve found out.

This issue brings together stories from across the built industry, spotlighting collaboration that produces work none of its contributors could have achieved alone. In the Hamptons, Workshop/APD and CRAFT Engineering Studio pushed structural boundaries to create a roof that cantilevers in multiple directions while appearing effortlessly simple. In Brooklyn, SO-IL and Tankhouse describe a partnership built on mutual trust and a shared belief that New York multifamily housing can be genuinely beautiful. And at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Trahan Architects and Alchemy International built a USA Pavilion welcoming over 10,000 visitors per day.
