    Helping Your Clients Move

Many Brick & Wonder members, such as real estate brokers, interior designers and architects function as trusted advisors to their clients, with (the good) relationships lasting years and even decades.

So, when one of our clients is going through this emotionally fraught and physically difficult life-change, how can we be there for them in a supportive role? Which moving-adjacent needs might they have, like art handling, storage and professional organizing?

For this Workshop, we're thrilled to have two Brick & Wonder members sharing their combined decades of experience helping clients prepare for and manage moving house as painlessly as possible.

    Open Restaurants Volunteer Build Weekend

After many weeks of fundraising, research, design and co-ordinating between our volunteer teams, we've now raised the funds to go ahead and build outdoor dining structures for Settepani and NBHD!

The two construction projects will be led by Matt Moss at Think Construction (working on NBHD) and Jeff Streich at Prime Renovations (working on Settepani).

And that's where you come in! We're also looking for volunteers to help with the construction efforts. Click to RSVP and get involved!

Like the checklists that pilots use to keep planes in the air, the simple act of setting and working towards goals belies the complex function it performs.

Often, emotional, behavioural and operational reasons get in the way of our ability to set and achieve goals, and to evaluate why we have or haven't met them in allocated time.

Yet, the simple tool of setting challenging goals and rising to meet them is enormously powerful.

In this Roundtable our co-leaders will dig into your goals for the coming year, show you how to track and measure progress, and help you reverse engineer a path to achieve them.

    Creative Feedback

Providing creative feedback requires the highest engagement of our social & emotional skills in order to be constructive, fair, supportive, helpful and critical all with the same few choice words. It must always advance the process and help improve project outcomes.

This Workshop will focus on developing your skills and techniques for giving and receiving Creative Feedback.

To lead the session, we're thrilled to welcome acclaimed designer Jessi Brattengeier, Art Director at The New York Times.

    Sales & Selling

Survival and growth in business depend on sales and selling, but, for many, the process is exhausting, emotionally fraught and a distraction from the satisfaction of doing the work we're required to sell.

In this Roundtable, we're thrilled to welcome two masters in sales to co-lead our discussion: Stan Ponte (Sotheby's) and Joel Breitkopf (Alchemy Properties).
